A word in veg ways…

One of the things about serving fresh home-cooked food everyday is that our chefs can easily tweak a dish to make sure it fits the bill perfectly with each and every guest.

This really came into its own recently when Anna Rose from Dine Birmingham popped in for supper.  She was keen to try Dip Your Own Asparagus for this lovely site, www.dinebirmingham.co.uk, and also her own fab food blog, Word in Vegways www.wordinvegways.blogspot.co.uk

On finding out she wasn’t a big egg lover, we were only too pleased to make her own special version of the dish with a sharp and well seasoned sauce vierge and pea purée served with a lemon wedge.

Tangy, yet creamy, she thought it was the perfect partner to her lightly steamed asparagus spears.  In fact, she thought it was so moreish, she was a bit disappointed when she ran out of spears!
